Why Irish applicants have unusually wide choice
Ireland sits on the same standard passport list as the UK for Korea's E-2 visa, Japan's teaching visas, and most Gulf and Southeast Asian markets. On top of that, EU citizenship means Spain, Italy, Portugal and other EU countries are open to you without needing a special visa route at all — an advantage UK applicants no longer have.
This makes Ireland one of the most flexible passports in TEFL, with real choice between high-pay Asian and Gulf markets, or low-barrier EU destinations for those prioritising simplicity.
