Deal sites are a marketplace, not a quality signal
Groupon and similar deal platforms are simply a sales channel — they don't create courses, they resell them at a discount from third-party providers. That means the quality, accreditation and hour count of what you're buying depends entirely on which underlying provider is behind the listing, not on Groupon itself.
This is why the same platform can host both a legitimately accredited 120-hour course at a genuine discount and a thin, weakly-assessed certificate mill — you need to identify and check the actual provider, not just the deal page's marketing copy.
