Why UK applicants have unusually wide choice
The UK passport is accepted across nearly every commonly advertised TEFL market: Korea's E-2 visa, Japan's Instructor visa, China's Z visa, most Gulf contracts, and the vast majority of Southeast Asian and European schools. This is the opposite problem most guides assume everyone has — for UK applicants, the challenge isn't access, it's choosing well.
That freedom means it's worth being deliberate. Chasing the highest pay (often Gulf or Korea) suits different priorities than chasing lifestyle and lower stress (often Southeast Asia), and both are genuinely available to you.
